Aftercare Program
Purpose: To provide support and services to help young people successfully stay in or return to their communities after out of home placement. This program aims to reduce recidivism, promote community safety, enhance social skills, family interaction and improve life outcomes.
Juvenile Prevention Program
The Prevention Program’s goal is to identify at-risk behaviors in youth who are experiencing behavior or family difficulties, as well as those who are at risk of being arrested.
The program utilizes assessment, referrals and case management to provide front end services to at-risk youth and their families.
Eligibility
- To qualify for the Prevention Program:
- Youth must be 17 years of age and under
- Youth cannot have open delinquency cases
- Referrals are received from schools, law enforcement, parents/guardians, concerned adults, the community and courts.
- Youth must live in Berrien or Cass Counties
Youth Diversion Program
Working with the justice system to provide alternatives to incarceration, our diversion program will hold youths accountable while engaging them in skill-building and restorative justice practices.
Case Management & Advocacy
Our RSS (Re-entry Support Specialist) will work with the young person to develop a personalized plan. The plan will address the youths specific needs, challenges, and individual risk factors, settings goals related to education, employment and personal development. This includes assistance navigating the court system and connecting with community resources.
Family Wraparound Services
Family plays a critical role in the young persons successful transition, we will help to improve family relationships and create a positive, supportive home environment.
